unfinished

the unknowable depths want to be known,
the untellable tales want to be told.
but knowing and telling
(not like seeing, but smelling)
have no end.

to know is to be knowing,
to tell is to be telling.
this refugee grammar,
from ebonics or stammer,
reminds me:

"i been knowin' ya for a long time, shorty..."
"he be tellin' me this sad story, ya see..."
why should an improper tense
reveal such truth; speak so much sense?

i don't know;
but i am knowing.
tell me;
no, keep telling.
