peace, justice, and fresh-baked cookies

Startup. What’s a business that you found this year that you love? Who thought it up? What makes it special?

St. Martin's Table, in Minneapolis, is a ministry of the Community of St. Martin. The restaurant/bookstore (not a new idea, but ever appealing) is run by volunteers. Their food is local, organic, and delicious (and I mean DELICIOUS), and all the proceeds and tips funnel back into programs to end hunger. Plus, they sell fair-trade goods AND host groups and events centered on peace-making and justice-seeking. Seriously, could you combine any more elements of institutional integrity?
