coffee, cheese, and student loans

‎Where did you spend your money?

Mint.com (which is awesome and helpful) tells me that I spent most of my money on boring but necessary things: rent, student loans, health insurance, utilities, gas and food.

Also, I bought an inordinate amount of cheese.

And I always splurge on good coffee.

Mint.com eh? Always something new to learn, thank you.

I'm almost nervous to sign up for something like that, especially once my wife and I both graduate in the spring...and the student loan bills start rolling in. Ugh...

It can be depressing, for sure. But the way Mint automatically categorizes every expense is incredibly helpful - and it updates you when you're reaching your budgeted limit for a particular category, or when you get hit with a credit card fine, and when bills are coming due. I think once I have a regular income, it'll be even more helpful...but there' just no way to get around the ugly student loan bills. The only consolation is that everybody has them...
